Privacy notice

How information is used and protected

This notice explains how GetCarFinance handles website, contact and commercial application information.

Why information may be used

International transfers

Where a technology or finance provider processes information outside the United Kingdom, appropriate transfer safeguards must be used as required by data-protection law.

How long information is kept

GetCarFinance keeps information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable contractual, legal and regulatory requirements. Retention periods differ by record type.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase information; restrict or object to processing; receive portable data; and withdraw consent. Some rights are qualified. Contact the controller responsible for the relevant processing.

You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (opens in a new tab), although we encourage you to raise concerns with us first where appropriate.
